Holiday Decor Contest - Winners selected December 23, 2024
Our popular Holiday Décor Contest is back for a fourth year and we will continue to recognize First Place, Second Place, and Third Place winners. This season we will add two additional Honorable Mention winners due to the increasing participation. Shea Crossing Holiday Décor Recognition Signs will be planted in the winners yards the night of December 23rd. Now is the time to let your creativity flow and glow; exterior lighting, yard displays, and color configurations that dazzle. Shea Crossing YARDS OF THE MONTH
In 2024 this program continues to be a very popular way to promote individual resident yard improvements and enhanced curb appeal. We value our residents who invest the time and effort to establish and maintain their yards and landscape year round. We all know the condition of one yard in our neighborhood can have either a positive or a negative impact. Therefore, we celebrate and congratulate our 2024 YOM winners, who show us all the way as they are directly responsible for the Shea Crossing image. These winning properties could easily compete with the best throughout the city of Collierville and the Midsouth. Community Event - THE BLOCK PARTY OF 2024
The annual Shea Crossing Block Party has become a cherished tradition. We had another great success in June 2024. This event provided another opportunity for neighbors to gather for an afternoon of fun, music, good food, and family-oriented festivities. We appreciate the Social Committee volunteers for again making this event possible, and we invite residents to share their ideas for the upcoming 2025 Block Party. Winchester Road and Shea Road Intersection - Traffic Light Coming
As everyone can see the traffic light installation started earlier this year has stopped! The city has told us the “master control panel” needed to complete the project is on backorder and is expected to arrive in the first quarter of 2025. When that occurs, the construction will resume. This traffic light has been a long effort of this Board. We have been pushing the city for three years. The dangerous Winchester and Shea intersection must be fixed before someone gets hurt. As we await completion we remind residents to be patient when entering that uncontrolled intersection. Please be sure to use your signal indicators and wait as long as necessary to enter it safely because cars are converging from all directions. We advise all to not risk an accident by moving until you see all lanes are safe. Remember that you can also use the Shea Road and Houston Levee intersection especially during the morning and evening rush hours. We hope to have the traffic light up and functional this spring. Modernizing Shea Crossing HOA Covenants & Bylaws
The HOA Board has engaged legal advisors to assist in the modernizing of our Covenants & Bylaws that were written fifteen years ago for a developer-based HOA. The Shea Crossing HOA was taken over by the residents in 2021. Now is the time for us to put into place "resident-based" guiding documents. Details of this initiative are only available on our protected FRONTSTEPS site. If you are a resident of Shea Crossing and have not yet signed up, now is a good time to enroll.
